Dust Mops
There are three components to dust mops: The handle, the frame, and the head.
We recommend dust mop handles with a swivel-snap top.
These have a spring-clip to quickly attach to the dustmop frames.
There are several different sizes of dust mop frames. Ours are rust-resistant, powder-coated black.
The most commonly used sizes are 18", 24", and 36", but they also come as small as 12" and as large as 72".
The dust mop heads themselves come either in a launderable, reusable yarn or in a disposable yarn.
These launderable heads simply slip onto the frame
and stay in place in a little pocket. We also carry ones that have
snaps.
Often these dust mop heads are in bright colors so that you can differentiate them after you've washed them.
That way, the right mop gets back to the right department.

This disposable head fits onto
the frame using a pocket as well. There are also styles with ties.
These heads usually just come in
beige. They're not meant to be pretty - they're meant to get the job
done!
Wet Mops
Depending on whether you are simply cleaning or applying a finish to your floors, you may need different types of wet mops.
Again, there are separate components - the handle and the mop head itself.
There are four different styles of wet mop handles:
This is called a Side-Gate mop handle. A hinged gate allows easy
on/off of the mop head, while a thumbwheel clamps the mop firmly in
place.
Gripper mop handles hold the mop head in their jaws. These
are best for mop heads with 5" headbands (which I'll explain later).
Pinnacle mop handles have a screw- in bottom. These are ONLY for the style of mop heads with the screw at the top.
Finally there are what are often called EZ Change handles,
or Stirrup Style handles. These have a quick release bar, and are
recommended for narrow headbands.
Mop Heads

Of course, since there are several different types of handles, there has to be several different types of heads.
Mop
Heads often come in Loop-End and Cut-End, which mean exactly what they
say....the ends of the mop are either looped or cut off at the ends...
....(like your hair is cut).
Cut - End mop heads are usually used for everyday cleaning, and are often made of cotton or rayon.
Loop-End mop heads are used more for applying floor finishes. These are often a poly/cotton blend.
The "Headband" of the mop head is the flat piece of
fabric that often attaches it to the flat part of a mop handle. These
can range from narrow 1" up to 5".
There are also different sizes...depending on who
you ask you might just call them Small, Medium, or Large, or 16 oz, 20
oz, 24oz , or a whopping 32 oz..
This is an example of a "Pinnacle" style or screw-in mop head.
Can you see the screw at the top where the headband would normally be?
We also have great mop heads with antibacterial protection built in,
bright colors for differentiation, cleanroom mop heads, and even mop
heads made out of recycled blue jeans!

And of course we have mop buckets and wringers to help finish the job....
