Foodservice Supplies : Foam Plates and Bowls
Our styrofoam plates and bowls are a great,
inexpensive way to serve meals at any fundraiser, event, or snack bar.
We carry foam dinnerware by Solo Basix and
Centerpiece, Dart Concorde, and Pactiv Placesetter Satin and Deluxe.
The majority of our foam plates are white, but some
are also available in a vanilla color.
While each brand has it's own distinct features, the
sizes are consistent across the brands:
6" Plates - sometimes called a Bread & Butter plate. Perfect for a slice of pie, rolls, etc.
7" Plates - just slightly larger. We cannot break a case of 7" plates because they are quite uncommonly used.
9" Plates and 10 1/4" Plates - for serving dinner. Available in regular and three compartment in many brands.
Foam
plates are also available in laminated and non-laminated.
Laminated simply means that there is a shiny laminate coating on
the plates for more cut resistance. This makes the plates stronger and
better for heavier foods, such as chicken or ribs. Non-laminated plates
and bowls do not have this coating, and might not be quite as shiny.
9" and 10 1/4" plates with compartments have two smaller compartments
for side dishes and a larger one for your entree.
Solo Basix foam platters are also available in 9" x 7" non-laminated ovals.
As a curteosy for our local clients, we can break down cases of plates
and bowls into their smaller sleeves for all sizes EXCEPT the 7"
plates and platters.
Regarding foam bowls, we carry two different types - containers by Dart
with tightly fitting lids, and bowls with a lip - more like a cereal
bowl or soup bowl.
Dart foam bowls include
the 6 oz 6B20, 8 oz 8B20, and 10 oz 10B20 - all of which take the Dart
20JL vented lid.
There is also one larger size, the 12 oz 12B32, which would take a 32JL vented lid.
Our foam bowls with a lip are available in a small 5 oz and a standard
12 oz.... perfect for cereal, pasta, or soup.
These bowls are also available in both laminated and non-laminated, and
the 12oz is also available in the vanilla color.
