We
have a vast selection of food grade bags at M & J Supply. ALL
of the following bags are USDA and FDA approved for foodservice use.
We'll start with the produce section.....
Our plastic produce bags are odor proof and leak proof with a strong
star-seal bottom. Simply pull down and an open bag will tear off with
ease.
Produce bags are available in 10" x
15", 12" x 20", and 15" x 20" sizes, with 14" x 20" bags also available
for the meat department.
Now that you have your prouce bags, how about a stand to keep them on?
We have an 18" tall corner mount stand that attaches to your produce
bins, a 48" tall freestanding unit with a sturdy 25lb base,
and of course, the mountable 13 1/4" x 6 1/4" units that you can attach to your fixtures.
What we call saddlebags or deli counter bags are also available in
several different sizes, with and without a ziplock seal.
Sizes include: standard 10" x 8", slender 3
1/2" x 10", 6 1/2" x 6 1/4", 7 1/2" x 7 1/4",
and 8 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Slide seal bags are becoming more and more popular due to their tough, visible seal.
All of our slide seal bags are a super tough 3mil plastic. Available in the following sizes:

Of course, we carry traditional zip-seal bags as well. Some sizes are

Dry wax and wet wax sandwich bags are also available. What's the
difference between wet and dry wax? I'm glad you asked!
The bag on the left is dry wax....the bag on the
right is wet wax. The wet wax one has a glossier finish so that it
looks almost, well, wet.
Our dry wax
sandwich bags are sized 6 3/4" x 6 1/2", while the wet wax sandwich
bags are 6" x 5/8" x 7".
Along those same lines, we also have two bags that are perfect for cookies....
There's a clear plastic bag with the word "cookie" imprinted in brown
that is sized 6" x 8", and a brown paper version at 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".
Smaller clear plastic bags are also available for candy and other small
goods that can be showcased in a clear bag.
Examples of sizes would be 3" x 5 1/2" and 4" x 6", but other sizes are certainly available.
Microperforated bread bags are wonderful for bakeries because they
allow the right amount of air inside to keep the bread crusty.....
...but at the same time they let excess moisture and steam out after baking.

Some people call these bags produce market bags or orchard bags. But they're great for a lot more than just fruits and veggies!
Available in : 1/4 peck - 6" x 3 1/4" x 8" with a 5 1/2" handle - available in brown and white
1/2 peck - 6 3/4" x 4 1/4" x 8"
with a 5 1/2" handle - in brown, white, apples, and bananas
and 1 peck - 8" x 5 1/4" x 10

Insulated foil bags with a lovely Asian design on them are available for your favorite chinese food take-out.
Pint bags are 4" x 2 5/8" x 10", while quart bags are 5" x 3 1/4" x 12" and hold approximately 1/2 a chicken.
A submarine sandwich bag is available with a fun, colorful sandwich
print in 14" Length (4 1/2" x 2" x 14") white paper.
At this time, the 18" sub bag is only available in plain white. These bags are 5 1/4" x 3 1/4" x 18".
We
also carry french bread bags in white in two sizes -
19" x 9" x 3" and 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 24".
Popcorn bags are perfect for your concession stand, a carnival event, or a movie night fundraiser.
The smaller bags at 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 8 1/2" will hold about 1 oz,
while the 4 1/2" x 1" x 12" bags will hold about 2 oz.
Solo's Premier popcorn bags have a grease resistant coating and are
much bigger for bigger appetites. Available in 85 oz and 130 oz ! WOW!
We have Hamburger and Cheeseburger bags, both 6" x 3/4" x 6 1/2",
with hamburger printed in red ink or cheeseburger printed in yellow ink
on paper coated with a foil honeycomb for wrapping hot foods.
We also have a grease resistant paper bag for french fries with yellow
lettering that is 5 1/2" x 1 1/4" x 8".
If you have a vacuum sealer for your meats or other items, you know what a great product it is for keeping foods fresher longer.
You may refer to these as VacBags, FreshSeal Bags, or Seal-A-Vac bags.
Just make sure your particular machine is compatible with these bags.
All of our vacuum seal bags are a super strong 3 mil thickness. Most
are packed either 500 or 1000 per case. Some 4 mils are available by
special order.

Our remaining poly or plastic food bags fall into three categories: PNV
Meat bags, regular bags, and bags on a roll.
Poly Nonvent Meat bags are just that - they're a plastic bag that is
non vented to keep meats fresh and prevent the release of juices.

We have a limited number of food bags that are on a roll. You could
also use a deli / saddle bag for the same use.

Finally, we have our flat-packed poly food bags. These bags are packed
flat in a box with a dispenser top, and most are packed at 1000 per
case.
The majority of our poly food bags are
1.5 mil thickness, but some are also available in extra thick. Please
just ask regarding that particular size.
